My 1st road bike. I ride in the Santa Clarita area, yeah it gets hot out here. Stop whining about the heat, grab an extra bottle and roll! Plain bike, nice scenery.

New (for me) bike!
2000 Trek 5200, USPS team colors. 9 speed/std. double Ultegra drivetrain with Dura-Ace RD, Look Keo Classic pedals, Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels, Ultegra brake calipers, Ultegra brake/shift levers, 46cm Bontrager Race X Lite Blade bars and seatpost, Specialized saddle.
My first all CF bike... so impressive. Sorry the filtered shot, I swiped it from my Instagram feed.

My Globe Live 3.
Changing the gearing was a PITA, because you have to buy a whole new belt. But I was spinning out in top gear and needed a larger chainring. (Err, beltring.)
As long as I was buying a new beltring and belt, and had a spare Dura Ace 7800 crankset laying around, I figured why not go with that. Fortunately the Phil outboard bottom bracket worked fine with the eccentric BB shell, which is necessary to tension the belt. And the belt alignment worked perfectly with no shims or spacers required. Only downside was the new beltring was too big to keep the guard. Fortunately the belt doesn't eat my work slacks or get grease on them.
People ask me who makes the great dog bike, but the color-matched dog bed in the porteur rack was a happy accident.
Sometimes riders ask what kind of motor I'm running back there, but I'm not cheating; it's a Dutch-style AXA frame lock. Another happy accident that bolted right on with no adapters or jiggery-pokery.
The original cranks were too wide, and the original gearing was too low, but it was still pretty fun anyway.
And it has a baseball card holder on the head tube, so you can stick in a pic of your favorite dog.
Sadly Specialized bought the Globe line of bikes and discontinued the Live 3 and other Live models.

Litespeed L3, aero bars (Profile Design Cobra Wing and T2+ clip ons), Ultegra brakes and derailleurs. Brand new 2012 model (list $3500) that I grabbed for 2k a couple weeks ago.
Ya, I know, egg beaters. Sacrilege. It's all I have and I can't afford anything else and they work fine for me. I'll upgrade someday when I'm rich and famous.

SoCal Hill Climbers
These are my two favorites for climbing SoCal hills.
The Jack Taylor Marathon Tandem is undergoing a bit of a rolling restoration... so please forgive her aesthetics. She's almost 50 years old and still climbs like a champ!
