I would do that if it were closer to where I live.
One of these days I might be convinced to buy bike like that...
For the kind of riding I do it's kind of overkill.
Anyway I like the " look " of a more classic lugged frame myself...

Don't really need to use it for its full potential as long as you like it and you have fun with it. Wrt to the analogy with a Porsche; not many will test its top speed limit, but you can always make use its handling and have fun with its 0-60mph acceleration at every traffic light.
