While not generally the kind of events that most of the SoCal BF.net crowd seems to be interested in, i'm posting it because i'm interested and just might have to drop by.

Cool. Looking at the videos, seems like everyone is racing side by side. Is that the rule, or is drafting allowed?

Side by side all out sprint. Kinda like street racing in your car except not so illegal. 
Me and my friends used to do this after rides. Bad bad idea (at least for me it was). The following pain in my glutes down to the calves was incredible, the kind that made me want to just curl up into the fetal position and whimper.

OK...I gotta talk up another one of the Wolfpack Hustle regulars-Super Cole!...
(yeah you might run into him at Enzo Gucci's restaurant, too)
He's a sweetie and came out for CICLE's Art Ride in Pasadena.
Cole is on the cover of the latest Rapha catalog...there's an article, too...about some LA rides and more pictures.

Very poor timing on this one. Too bad I've committed to being somewhere else that night. The tunnel is a great place for this.

i'm contemplating it. i want to do it on my geared bike if i go though. the hard part for me at my advanced age is staying up that late...but i'm thinking a couple gut busting sprints might help keep me awake.
anyone that went to the last ones- were there many geared riders?

there should be plenty of geared riders. probably alot of downtime during the qualifying runs, but after all thats done with it should go fairly quickly.
dont worry about showing up and not racing. everyone just sits and screams and its a blast.

LOL!! I went...but the police closed down the race in 2nd Street tunnel this year instead of blocking it off...too many people made them nervous?
I saw Cole, ggallin, Hollywould, other friends of mine...no Bearclaw sighting.
I went home after the police came but some riders continued the race...ggallin??

i got a qualifying run in before they shut it down... the race was moved, but being 2am already, my ladyfriend and i called it a night.
