Oh ****, it's going to be 100F today!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Sorry about the screaming. It's just...heat and I don't mix. And when I dress to cool myself, other people and I don't mix.

Wish I could just stay home and soak in the pool, but no, I must pop my head out of my little hole in the ground to do a presentation on my research. Bleeeeech.

I have a tough day as well... I'll be working from home today!

If it makes you feel better, on my ride home yesterday, I thought I would melt out. I'm just not used to the heat yet!

Hotter the better. It's still May. August ,now we're talking heat. Get out of your air conditioned womb more often.

I prefer it warm when going for bike rides. It means less stuff to wear.

With what 18%-20% RH, puleeese, it has to get to at least 105 before you get to complain. Come over the right coast and we'll fix ya up with some real heat+humidity. Sunday it was 95 with a dew point of 71, now that's a fun swim (ride).

After months of "cold" socal weather, it takes time for your body to adjust to the warmth.

The morning ride was nice, at least. It was still 60-ish when I left the house. It's the ride back I'm dreading.

@stonecrd: I grew up in Japan, where summers are unbearably humid. Like gross-sticky-ewww-humid. Then I went back to the Philippines for more humid summers. I actually would deal with humidity better than dry heat, as my body is more accustomed to it. I'll hate it, for sure, but I won't feel as miserable. Right now I feel like I have to guzzle several dozen bottles of water just to keep hydrated.

I am exactly the opposite. I spent 10 years in Livermore and loved riding in the 100+ with low humidity. Crank up the moisture and I just die. Anyway I don't think either of us have a lot to complain about when it comes to weather I end up with 200+ days riding each year. I grew up in Chicago so snow and cold is what I fear most.

Funny, I grew up in Japan too and I never got used to the humidity. If I had a choice I'd pick hot dry weather any day over high humidity.

I grew up in the East Coast and never got used to the cold or the humidity. 75 degrees is about my lower limit of cold. Hot and dry = perfect. Riverside suits me well.

I like the cold. But for me cold means low 70s.
