New Commuter - West Hollywood to Culver City

Hi all,

Really enjoying the forums. I'm going to start riding from Crescent Heights/Fairfax and Santa Monica in WeHo to Culver City (Culver Studios). When driving, I always took Fairfax to Venice, and Venice to La Cienega to Melrose on my way home. Any tips for the bike commute?

Thanks.

Use Crescent Heights. It parallels La Cienega and from Olympic to Venice its wide and low traffic. La Cienega is a circus. Crescent Heights doesn't go through to Venice but ends in back of Kaiser. I don't remember my exact route around Kaiser but you'll find one. My commute was from near the Culver Studios to Cedars-Sinai. The area in general has alot of side streets that make for easy avoidance of some of the massively congested major intersections. Venice is good once your past the 10 / Venice / La Cienega mess.

Thanks. I used to take Crescent Heights and get over to La Cienega via Guthrie in my car.
