I could probably do the 2nd half, option b. What time will you be most likely getting to Mission Bay area? I work Saturdays, but I get off at 11:30, so I could be there at noonish (if I hurry, I work/live in La Mesa) if you guys haven't already passed by then.

So not true. At least he is sorry he isn't coming. You on the other hand are positively gleeful.

Noonish would be about right I think. I don't remember exactly what time we got there last year. We could exchange cell # s so I could give you a heads up during the ride.

True. If you start at Mission Bay the 2nd loop is pretty much flat.

Only for a month or two. She already has a good job waiting for her, so she gets the couch until she finds an apartment.

And yes, I do suck...

I am in... I am not sure 4k of climbing in addition to my first century is a good idea, but I am dumb enough to try.. what kind of pace can I expect?

Pace is hard to say - it depends on how people are feeling, but I'm not fast - usually 14-16 mph average on centuries. The second half will be almost flat, plus some non-speedy riders will join (like my wife ) so hammering will be discouraged.

Really sounds like a great ride. Wish I weren't out of town this weekend (and since you don't live near me, I'm out of town in the first place).

Have a great time! Word of warning - don't get Cheetos for the party!! You never know what they might be made of.

>100 miles.

For some reason, I still can't do my daily commute (3.5 miles) w/o breaking a sweat.

Dangit, now I kinda wish I worked harder at getting endurance riding up all these months. This is going to be right in my backyard!

Have a safe ride though! I promise I will join one of your rides before I graduate from UCSD.

Cheers,
-Jonathan

So that means Grumpy can hammer away on the first?
