Possible to take a bike on Metrolink from Laguna Niguel to Van Nuys?

I am riding down to Laguna Niguel from San Luis Obispo and need to get back to Woodland Hills when I am done. I see that there is a metrolink station in Laguna Niguel and in Van Nuys. Both of these stations are within riding distance of where I'll be and want to get. Is it possible to take a bike on the metrolink from Laguna Niguel to Union Station and then with it on the train to Van Nuys?

Thanks,

Ray

Yes, the Metrolink trains have spaces for bicycles. Enter the train through one of the doors with a bicycle picture next to the door. Then, use the velcro straps to tie down the bicycle's wheels.

Take a 18" or 24" bungee with you. Sometimes, during weekdays quite often, the trains are completely stuffed with bicycles (meaning 5-7 per car). You may need the bungee to attach your bike to the pile of bikes already there.

Have fun,
HB

Are the bicycle cars near the front or the back or random?

I believe they're in ever cart right by the doors. They aren't entirely obvious though (i.e. they're not like bike racks)

Every train car has room for 2 bicycles (unofficially, you can probably fit 4 per car).
