Getting from Amtrak (Angels Stadium) to SART

I am taking the train from San Diego to the Amtrak Stadium at Angels Stadium and then bicycling back to San Diego. I have never done this before. Can anyone give me directions from the Amtrak Station to the SART? Thanks.

The SART as in the singletrack mountain bike trail in the San Bernardino Mountains, or the Santa Ana River bike path in Orange County? The latter of the two can be accessed via a hole in the fence adjacent to The Big A in the stadium parking lot.

If you can find Angel Stadium, you've found the Santa Ana River - it runs along the east side of the stadium's parking lot. The easiest access in at the SE corner of the parking lot, just walk through the bushes and you'll be on the bike path. It can also be accessed from KatellaAve. (north side of the stadium) by riding under the 57 freeway and picking up the River just before the Honda Center (where the Ducks hockey team plays). Go south 13 miles from there and you'll arrive at the beach.

Unless it's been torn open again in the last couple of weeks, the hole in the fence by the Big A has been closed up.

    East on Katella to SART.
That which does not kill me has made a massive tactical blunder.
