Glen Helen Park??? (hey Socalrider!)
I mentioned Glen Helen in the SART thread. I'm not sure what the pavilion is currently named. Socalrider mentioned that "before it was Glen Helen" it was home of the US festival, back in 83. True it was home of the US Festival. Not clear on what your statement means but I remember going to Glen Helen Park back in the late 60'or or early 70's as a little kid.
As far as i can remember, Glen Helen Park has been there forever.
If you meant the pavilion alone, I can see that. But if you're talking about Glen Helen, it's been there alot longer than 83. I may be misunderstanding your post though.
Just to clarify , I looked for the history of the park but can't find a date of when the park was built or opened. I might have been 9 or 10 years old which meant it was back in 72. But I also remember my parents talking about it as if they knew about it "back in the old days"

I just made mention of the US festival because not many people have any idea of where GH Park is..

Oh, I wasn't sure what it meant but either way, I'm curious as to when the park opened.
I do searches and come up with camping rates and volleyball!
