Am I NorCal or SoCal?

I'm not sure which forum would have more relevance to me. I live outside of Morro Bay. We're the Central Coast. Does anyone know which forum I fit into best? Or should I just keep reading both of them?

NorCal. Once you get beyond Santa Barbara, you're Norcall.

Simple question

The easiest way is by answering the question:

Which statement do you most agree with?

A. NorCal water from the Sierras belong to all Californians
B. LA stole our water

If your county is fully visible, you're in SoCal

From a Marin Cty friend, anything north of the Madonna Inn is NorCal.

Its real easy, go to a local bar, if you see Dodger posters, you are in SoCal, if you see Giant posters, you are in NorCal. I tend to think of Monterey County on up as NorCal.

I don't know if it still applies, but the first great mixing of norcal and socal people that I encountered was in college. The test was "hella" = norcal and "the" = socal (as in the 101)

Actually, if you see Dodgers posters, there's a very strong possibility you're in Mexico.

Now, Herb goes to the Sea Chest in Cambria all the time, rides there, you live south of Cambria so that makes you SoCal.

I'd say your a switch hitter... You can wear either jersey..But, with your topography. I'd more frequently head north... Big Sur riding.. I'd wear the Nor Cal jersey more often..

Thanks everyone. I posted the same question on the NorCal site and got about the same answers. I'm on the border and should just read both sites. I'm okay with that - I just wanted to know if there were any accepted boundaries, to avoid the risk of a forum blunder (Oh no, not that!)

Both groups seem to be fun and welcoming, so I'll just read both and enjoy.

I like the SloCal idea.

As for where I ride, the route of the Lighthouse Century goes on roads where I spend about 95% of my time. (In fact the route travels 5 blocks from my house.)

Our only saving grace is some great climbs. However, I miss living near the coast (grew up in SF, Santa Cruz)

It does. I repeatedly had an argument with one of my friends from Chino about the fact that "hella" is not a word and that the preposition "the" belongs before freeway numbers.

if you get "on line" at the store, you're too far east for either.
