Clif bar recall

Related to the Salmonella peanut butter scandal. I blame President Bush. Everything else is his fault. This probably is, too.

This is easy to figure out. Jimmy Carter has peanut farm. Jimmy Carter had a brother that was implicated with dealings with people from the mid East. People from the mid east are not happy because when we ride bikes we aren't burning gas. If we have to go to the doctor because of Salmonella we more than likely will have to go by car and burn gas. So it has to be a plot by the Carters to strike at bicyclists and others exercising rather than driving and hurting their friends in the Mid East. To add to the plot I had to discard 40 percent of the stock of cliff bars I had, I only had five left to last till Friday, two were Chocolate chip Peanut crunch, and because the Democrats have a majority in congress it must be a cliff bar tax passed by the democrats!!!!

Just checked my stash of Clif bars - Oatmeal Raisin Walnut and Blueberry Crisp. Take that recall!

And as far as Billy Carter goes, I say F him.

PS: This, ladies and gentlemen, is why I only refuel with Jelly Belly (TM) Sport Beans (C) which have absolutely no natural ingredients whatsoever.

Artificial lime flavoring, FTW!

While I'm happy you're alright, I'm sorry to say that I find there's far too much incongruity with the two contrasting images of you taking a healthy dump and Eric Idle circa 1970. Perhaps it's just me.

Crap! I eat 2 Cliff bars a day

Why is everyone hating on Jimmy Carter? not having actually lived through his presidency, I only know him as like the American mother Teresa flying all over the world leaving peace and affordable homes in his wake

Jimmy Carter rides a Rivendell, so he's alright by me. Bush rides a TREK, so not cool. Not sure what the Clif Bar guy rides, but I'm having a tough time finding my favorite Clif bar: Apricot.

Besides, a peanut is not a nut, it's a bean.

It is a voluntary recall so it could be just that the makers of cliff bars are more careful than some others and they have no problem. But looking at their home page they seem like the kind that would rather be safe than sorry. But it is only the ones made with peanuts the rest are still on the shelf.

The other responses trying to blame some president or political party are mostly hyperbole. That is what the and and can help us indicate. We live in a society that seems to live for conspiracy theories so we simply invent our own.

So you're saying I'm part of a conspiracy? Where the heck you get that from? I'm going to start an investigation on you mister and I'll have Art Bell or George Noury call you just as soon as I can triangulate your hyperbole co-ordinates!

I was freaking out a little. I bought a whole box two weeks ago of Crunchy Peanut Butter. But just checked clifbar's website for the recall information and they have expiration dates to look for. Mine weren't in there. Already had 4 and everything seems fine.

Just ask and I will mail you my GPS coordinates. But then you would never know if I was giving you mine or the riders that turned me on to Cliff bars. He is also the same guy that keeps dropping me on hills every other day. Bring on your black balaclava wearing swat guys in their Black SUVs, I laugh at the prospect. Just be sure to send the Lapierre you find there to a P.O. Box I will tell you about.

You have given yourself away. That family was a plant by the LA P.D. Unlike Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday and Pugsley. Although I did think cousin Itt could have been a undercover cop. None of them would have ever eaten a Cliff bar. Could it be you know more about this Cliff bar cover up than we knew? Maybe a Paraquat overspray by someone able to triangulate a Hyperbole between LA and San Diego?

Ah but The Raven wasn't part of the plant, he was a double spy placed in the Rampart division by Joe Friday who was himself a mole for the NSA and in turn a S.P.E.C.T.R.E. operative, it gets further complicated by the fact that Sherwood Schwartz had something to do with being the handler for all the various spies, plants and operatives running around in Hollywood in those days.

As long as that overspray didn't affect the crop headed to the Clif plant, I think I and the funny shapes will be jusssss' fine

I would argue it's mostly comic fodder.

Never liked peanut butter flavored anything.. NO problems here, my recent stash of Cliff bars are mostly fruit flavored, such as apricot...
