Been there many times. Always some great finds and surprising deals. There's also piles and piles of crap, just like any swap meet, but you can get NOS (new old stock, not nitrous) frames and components that were state of the art just last year...
I've bought frames, groupsets, wheels, whole bikes, apparel, and tires at the 'meet.

Those are just the funnier ones. Others are more in line of being a good person:
Rule #4 - It's easier to obtain forgiveness than it is permission.
Rule #10 - Never look back unless you intend to go that way.
Rule #11 - Wherever you find yourself, act like you've been there before.
Rule #16 - Respect and Loyalty can only be earned; they can never be demanded.
Rule #19 - The most dangerous loss is a loss of control.
But, I must say that Rule #13 has been the most rewarding in my life.

For those who have been to this swap meet, would it worth the trip? I'm from Irvine and in the market for a new fixed gear or SS (budget friendly), so I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a bike from my LBS, off bikesdirect, or possibly this swap meet.
