Christmas in April

Other than the obvious big snow storm in Denver to remind us of Christmas, I received an unexpected gift today that felt almost like Christmas (Hanukah if Jewish)! To round off some final purchases for my new bike, I opted to buy from a few Ebay stores. When I went to pay via PayPal, I was surprised to find that I had a balance of $140, which was $20 short of the total bill! Turns out I didn't transfer that amount over to my checking account after a few clients payed me thru PayPal several weeks ago. I didn't know it worked that way.

So that felt good!

Items purchased:
Louis Garneau spd multi-shoes
spd pedals
CO2 mini-pump
90mm stem (just to see how that size will work for me while waiting for the 100mm oem replacement from the bike manufacturer)
TI leverless skewers

Tell me how that CO2 mini pump works. I was thinking about getting one.

I bake for customers and most pay me by paypal. It's a nice surprise to order something and find out that I only have to pay $5, because I forgot about the money in my paypal account.

It controls the amount of CO2 flow by twisting the cartridge. Plastic top piece should help avoid the freezing fingers. It's cheap, so if I don't like it I'll get something else.

The CO2 cartridge has been around forever, and awhile back some simple genius figured out it could be used for an easy, light, tube inflation device to replace the frame pump. There's a variety of models on the market, some heavier than others, some easier to use. In theory, a single cartridge is good for more than one full inflation, but they tend to leak once the top seal is ruptured, so if you don't have a back-up cartridge, you can find yourself without enough CO2 (or any) to do the job the next time you have to use one.

I don't know if I answered your question. What specifically do you want to know?

Oh I thought is was that new one where it's a hand pump plus a CO2 inflator. I saw it online or in a magazine somewhere. Anyone have or seen one of those?
