Anyone interested in Sunday Morning Rides?
I know a lot of you probably have your Saturday morning rides already set, but what about a Sunday ride? The bike shop I work at (A Road Bike 4U in Irvine) has Sunday morning rides every week, leaving at 9AM.
Its a no-drop casual ride, though you're more than welcome to take some pull if you'd like to, just be sure to regroup.
Free coffee is provided before the ride, and free food and energy drinks are provided after the ride.
If you'd like more information on the Sunday ride, PM me with your email, and we will put you on our email list with more information in the route, distance, etc.
If you are looking for our shop, we are located on the Corner of Red Hill and Main St. Ignore the "map it" function on our website as it gives you the incorrect street address, but the location marker is correct. Our shop is right next to a flower shop. When going North on Main St. look to the right, just before Redhill Ave, and you should see our neon cyclist sign.
EDIT: Here is a portion of the email from last weeks ride, give you a gist of what you'll be doing on the Sunday Ride:
"We'll meet around 8:45 or so, take off by nine and do the route we have been doing lately, mostly cause we like it and we think it's a darn good route. From the shop to Alton, turn Right on Laguna Canyon - to Laguna Beach and then regroup at PCH and Broadway. We'll wander through the upper reaches of Laguna Beach to avoid the traffic, follow PCH to Jamboree and then follow the Back Bay to University, then to the Harvard trail and then finally left on Main back to the shop. Route slips will be at the shop at the beginning of the ride. "

Thanks for posting, 30 to 60 mile moderate temp rides are just what I'm looking for on the weekends. Got the 60 on Sat and now this. It was a good session, got worked but not killed.

Neccros, what's your name? I talked to several people at the shop today. I know one BF'er showed up, (mtnmm) but I think thats it. Pace is usually around 19-20 mph moving average.

Oh haha you spoke to Ashley. Yeah we don't carry lots of seatposts, but we do have a lot of stems. Just depends on what kind of seatpost and stem you want. I'm sure we can find you a proper stem, but we're limited for certain types of seatposts.
Let me know what you need and I can check again in our store to see if we have it. Ashley doesn't usually work in the back where we keep all of our stuff so we might have stuff that she may not know about.

PM me with your email address and I will have your name added to the email list.
Necrros, we don't have any of those stems in stock at our shop. I'm quite certain we have a couple 120mm stems in stock, but we don't have any of those specific ones. If you want though, we are able to order the stem for you from our supplier. All we ask is that you put 50% of the price down on the stem.
Also, forgive Ashley, she doesn't work in the mechanics section and isn't as much of a techie as us mechanics are, so I wouldn't expect her to know about all of our component stock. She's a great salesperson however!

Sorry Neccros, its just one of those things that not all bike shops always keep a variety of in stock since people don't buy stems all too often. If you have any more questions, lets take it to PM's so as to not take up forum space.
Bump for interest! The BF list is actually growing a bit now. We've got 5 local BF'ers on the list.

Hey iareConfusE,
Can you add me to the list for the email for the Sunday group rides? I can't make it every Sunday, but I would like to come out every once and awhile!
Thanks!

Hey iareConfusE,
Thanks for the great ride and letting me trying out all those bikes !!
After rideing the Pinarellos I definitely want one. I can't seem to get them off my mind ! Too bad I can't afford the FP7. But that FP3 w/Centaur is pretty nice too!! But just to let you know, I probably won't be able to get it til Christmas (present to myself )
I will definitely come out again this Sunday!!
See you then...
