All the times I have been up GMR, I have never seen a tarantula before. Have seen them on other roads in the local mountains, just never up there. This one just made it off the pavement as I came around a corner on the way up. At the speed I ride uphill, it really wasn't hard to avoid him. Late afternoon ride was a good one. Broke a good sweat on the way up, but wore a light jacket on way down. Temps are really quite nice late in the day. and one can really feel the changing of seasons coming on.

I've seen quite a few while riding the dirt firetrails in Claremont. I ran into one the little fella more than once Even went as far as to name my new friend!
