Epic indeed, Benjamin. Sorry I couldn't make it up there for that one!

02/12: Climbing Primer. I was too excited after they announced the L'Etape Route this week. Twin Oaks Grade - Highland Valley Road - Archie Moore - 67 - Scripps Poway - Ted Williams - Pacific Coast Highway - to Pacific Coast Cycles in Oceanside.

    I. Active Recovery. Cruised around town with dog taxi to get a falafel burger, visit some friends at Orpheus dog park, check out Revolution (the new bike shop off PCH in Leucadia) and to Grandma's house to walk all the dogs. A beautiful Sunday afternoon. It's going to be a long rest week with the weather good like this, but then early next week I have an honest, hour-long FTP test. 300+ Watts or Bust!

Very disappointed in this FTP test, and the rib stitch I felt during the test hurts even a little worse today. Disappointed, but at least my FTP is at last over 300. (306.85)
Will kill it next time though, when events hopefully aren't conspiring thwartation.

Quite a bit of snow on the ground on La Tuna Canyon this morning. A pretty bizarre sight.

    That's brutal!

May I inquire what gearing you used for that ride?

^^ Nice. Here's my first ride around the PV peninsula. Hopefully, I can work it into the permanent rotation- my fat ass was suffering.
