Share your ride in Socal via Garmin Connect (or other program)...

Given the popularity of the Garmin Connect thread in the road cycling forum, I thought it could be cool to have a Socal verison of the thread. (The thread in the road cycling forum is here: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...-or-equivalent)

My rides this weekend:
Saturday: https://connect.garmin.com/activity/59371539
Sunday: https://connect.garmin.com/activity/59554154

If you have an Android phone, use My Tracks. It's pretty cool, although not as pretty as Garmin Connect

First time back on the bike in a full week. Illness, rainy weather, and holiday family lunacy keeping me away from bike. Took an easy (Easy, Easy) spin on rollers. (Click.) Sure hope it doesn't cause a relapse or worse.

Glad to hear from UMD's better half. Please tell him we miss his dreamy muttonchops:

01/03: Active Recovery Session on rollers. Slow & easy for 45 mins, focusing only on perfect, fluid spin.

How do you remove the map in the display?

Both of those workouts are "on rollers". If you disable GPS for a workout, no map will show up in garmin connect.

Ugh, I have not been on the bike since mid Sept. Since I took this week off I thought about dusting off the trusty steed.

I'm so out of shape yet I found a bit of my ol legs and manage to do a moderate spin at my favorite loop:

IV: Lactate Threshold.
15 min - warmup
10 bursts to 130rpm
10 min @ 230-260W
5 min rest
10 min @ 285-295W
5 min rest
10 min @ 285-295W
15 min cooldown

Felt great on these intervals! Honestly wanted to push it over 300, but decided to stick with the plan. I was expecting tonight to be a suffer-session, and my heartrate was tickling zone 5, but while looking at it, it just seemed like a number. I think this is going to be a good year if I get many more workouts like this. PLUS I'm already halfway to my weight goal. Only 8.5 pounds more to go!

III: Tempo. 2.5-3 hours @ 215-260W with cadence @90-95. There was a little more climbing than I remembered on this route and my cadence suffered a little. Also windy and lost a little time when I ran into my tri-friend who never showed up at the meeting point. (Jive turkey.)
