https://connect.garmin.com/activity/65394528 One hour including warm up, didn't have much time before class. However, I felt great and set a PR on ave speed for a ride I do regularly. 176ave HR also felt great

BTW, here's my little ride today.- Was getting tired of SART so ventured off from my house to GMR. was really tired so only went up a little way up GMR but I was surprisingly pleased with how bicycle friendly Foothill was heading west through Claremont and San Dimas

When you click the Insert Image button and paste in your URL, make sure to uncheck the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box.

I was smiling the whole time! Sorry I missed you. I started from my place in C'bad and you were on your way down when I was on my way up. It was much easier than I remember, and this time I brought a 39-25 instead of my usual 39-27.

It was only my first time going up, but I don't think I could use any form of the word easy to describe it Though, it's probably a good thing you missed me, I was cursing myself up at least half of it. It was not a pretty sight, I'm sure XD

Hoping to go back again on the 12th.

02/05: Elfin Forest-Lake Wohford-Old Castle-Circle R-Couser Canyon-San Luis Rey Bikepath-PCH Century. It felt like a lot more climbing than 5800 feet. Riding on Valley Center's rough, narrow roads with diesel-spewing trucks ain't much fun, but it felt good to get back to Carlsbad's wide, smooth, stoplight-free roads on PCH.

02/04: Cruised to downtown SD from Carlsbad. 3 flat tires in one day, and time lost walking, meant I had to take the train to get back home before dark.

Sunday SART ride. Great weather, wind wasn't kicking too bad! Tons of cyclists out by the beach. I was invaded by RiverVelo crew at the beach.

V. VO2 Max Workout: 6 x 6 minutes @ 300W.
Haven't ridden all week to avoid catching the flu bug everyone at work has, and so was well rested for these. Supposed to be at 280-300W, but I was too well rested to keep below 300, and averaged 318 on the last one.

Hear hear! I love that stretch of Lilac & West Lilac, especially west of the 395. Idyllic scenery, smooth asphalt, zero traffic... going up or down that hill is always a joy.
Have they cleaned up the storm-aftermath on Twin Oaks, south of the gate yet? It was a muddy mess my last two times through.

No problems through Twin Oaks....had to keep my eyes open coming down Circle R though...they did some road repairs and parts of the asphalt was still a bit gooey!
