Yep, me too. Now sign up as a "buddy" so you can help a noob get used to doing it/encourage them.

More riders = safer streets.

I've been commuting for over 15 yeas now. The streets have never been more dangerous. Everytime I read the paper theres a story about a cyclist being hit by a car.

Bike to Work Day coincides again this year with the Tour of California. This year the Friday is the Solvang Time Trial. It's a great opportunity to ride the tandem around the town with water bottles full of Bloody Marys, organic celery included.

I ride to work every day anyway, but I used to enjoy the pit stops and seeing lots of other cyclists out on the road. I only missed one Bike to Work Day between 1992 and 2009.

Maybe the organizers can move the Day forward a week next year and give us ToC tifosi a chance to participate again.

I want to see if I can get back on commuting once a week (the other days, I have to drop the baby off at the in-laws, making it impractical), then I'll sign up.
