I've done TOur of Borrego twice and Borrgo to teh Sea one time. I love the area! Much nicer desert scenery than Palmsprings and WAAAAAAY fewer riders. I did it last in 05-06, maybe 100-150 riders on the thenlongest course. The support was great, the post ride meal was darn good (PS don't give you squat!).
I'd much rather do a Borrego ride. Nice thing is if you miss the ride, they will give you credit for an upcoming ride (with notification).
I liked it so much that one year, I had Gina do the ride alone and I drove support. She loved it!

I've done only the hill climb which usually takes place on the Sunday after the ride. It was very well organized. As for the ride itself - I would take Beanz's word.

Awesome, I was thinking of going. My dad is going and is riding the 80.
I just found out about this ride and was thinking of doing it. But only the 40 miler. I have never done ANY event so I am a little hesitant but I think I am gonna ride it.

Yeah, once I told my Dad I am gonna do it, well then I have to do it. He is using it to train for his upcoming, 4th Ironman (St. George) Sucks when your pops makes you feel like a panzy.
