Santiago Canyon Road

I plan on a century loop to include Santiago Canyon and Silverado Canyon Roads Sunday morning. I saw that there is ongoing construction on Santiago.

Are there any current potential areas of concern regarding road conditions?

I plan on entering Santiago from Villa Park then traversing out to Cooks Corner and hit Silverado on the way back.

Thanks

They are currently repaving. It's not supposed to be impacted on weekends, weekdays only. Also bikelanes are supposed to be open during non-work hours. I haven't ridden it myself since the work started, might right thru there on Sunday. Here is some info:

Looks sweet once they are completed later this summer.

"Will a bike lane be accessible in the project areas? Will cyclists still be able to use the road? Bike lanes will not be accessible within work areas during project working hours, yet cyclists will continue to be able to use the road and will be required to obey all in-place traffic control measures. Bike lanes will be re-opened every day after construction hours. Cyclists and motorists must share the road to ensure the safety of all road users during construction." I did a century today, Santiago Canyon road from Jamboree to Cooks Corner. No major problem. Much better than last month.
