looking for other commuters on SART

Planning on commuting to work on SART a few times a week.
Get on SART by Edna Park, get off at the 405. Coming back is the reverse.

Anybody else commuting this route to work? Basically looking for someone to ride together with especially in the shady part of Santa Ana

I'd like to start commuting SART from Green River Rd. to Angel Stadium. I'm only planning on doing Tuesdays/Wednesdays; I start work at 8:30 and end at 5:30. I wouldn't mind having a partner as well for the commute.

Really sad that things have come to this on the SART ( certain areas at least).

Thugs are intent on making sure we all put limits on the scope of our lives. At least with respect to where we can ride. And in broad daylight too!

What a shame.

I commute on SART everyday, from Yorba Linda to Costa Mesa. The problem is my hours vary. It seems to be safe in daylight, I haven't had any problems. After dark is a little scary. I ride with pepper spray in hand and make it visible to anyone I come across. So far no problems.

Don't ride there after dark! Just not worth it; pepper spray or not. I'll make sure I have an alternate route (at least on some parts of the SART) if riding after-dark, if I were you.

Be careful out there.

The problem with finding a alternate route, is the streets are worse than the trail in that area. I've been chased by dogs, yelled at by motorist and almost hit by illegals on bikes riding on the wrong side of the road. I wish I could avoid Santa Ana all together.
