I can't fight it anymore...

...I need road shoes!! I had been putting it off because of money issues and figured I can get by just using flat pedals and my running shoes but i can't!! Hill climbing and being fast just isn't happening the way i want it to because I don't have a good grip on the pedals.

Now, for the real reason why i posted this is to ask all my So. Cal BF'ers if anyone has or knows of anyone who has an old pair of road shoes they'd like to get rid of? I need a size 45 and don't care about brand but would prefer black or white in color. I don't have a ton of money but won't be stingy about it and give you $2.00. If you or anyone you know is trying to get rid of a pair of older (in decent condition shoes) size 45, let me know!!

(also, not sure if i posted this in the right forum or if it's allowed for me to post it here but I figured since it's the Southern California thread, i would give it a shot. Moderators, Feel free to move my post or remove it if needed. Just let me know!)

-Thanks everyone!!

Don't be so hard on the guy, especially when you do not know the circumstances. What is wrong with helping someone out? I have 3 or 4 pair of road shoes I would be happy to give him for free, practiclly brand new, but they are for a smaller foot. Just because you can afford everything you want when it comes to riding, doesn't mean everyone else can. Ever hear of paying it forward?

Check Real Cyclist or the clearance on Nashbar. They always have inexpensive shoes on clearance.

That is not what he said!

He said if you give him a pair of shoes, he will not be singy by only offer $2. Meaning he will make a decent offer.

Agreed. That's how I read it. (won't be stingy about it and give you $2.00)

Two dollars is a lot of money to some cyclists.
