jmX - was that you?

I think you blasted by me right about at the golf course before the Big A today... would have been right about 3:55 pm or so. I think I was toddling along in the 18-20 mph range and you, uh, blasted by. (On your left! Vroooom)

You can see where I cranked it up to 28 to catch up so I could say hi, but then I realized there's no way I could hold a conversation at the pace you run, so I dropped myself. :D I started in Costa Mesa today at the inlaws and commuted back home with a detour to Yorba, but I didn't see you fly by in the other direction either.

Really not a lot of roadies out on SART today despite the rather awesome weather.

Depends on what time you went out. I saw quite a few this morning.

Hrm, it very well may have been me. I had just finished watching the TT finish for the US Pro Tour and figured I'd go out and do my own.

This says I started at 3:25pm, headed south, and turned around at the Edna Park area bridge crossing to head back north. Didnt seem like your strava told me what time you set off so it was hard for me to tell, but maybe it was me. Did you catch a glimpse of the 'jmX' saddle bag?

Maybe that was you that I waved at right after you came off the Edna Park bridge, and then passed you after I turned around 3-4 minutes later?

It was pretty empty out there. I think I only had to really slow down 5-6 times in the whole 40 miles for families or people taking both lanes.

Weird, I don't recall seeing anybody at the bridge. I also forgot to look for your signature saddle bag. I started riding at 2:50, so about 1 hour in for me, so that had to be you - I didn't get passed by anybody else all day, mostly just recreational riders on the trail. I had a sort of orange LA fun ride jersey on.

Not a lot of guys out there on solid black Specialized bikes with deep rims and a powertap rear hub (I did notice that when I caught up to you and then gave up the chase).

I was starting to think there wasn't much of a tail wind until I turned around at Yorba Park... and then I realized that yes, it was pretty stiff!

Nice ride you did there!

You know when I saw you I felt like I'd seen you in a beanz video, but after a year or two of watching beanz videos I've probably seen just about everybody in them. :p I think you were in one just a few weeks ago from the GMR ride.

That wind is always kinda tough once I turn around at green river, seems like the SART never gets a break from it (at least during the few hours I ride - during my kids naptime). Before I had a power meter the wind would beat me down me mentally every time. Now I kind of enjoy it, breaks up some of the monotony of riding the SART 3 times a week.
