One of the best tires. PSIMET carbon fiber clinchers and the GP 4000-S.

meh. overrated, you want grip and ride quality get vittoria open cx, not cheap though. i've been using vittoria rubinos pros good ride especially if you can fit the 28s, and 10x less cuts and cheaper. bought 4 for $28 a piece

Thanks, Beanz! I've been waiting for these to go on sale! They are over $65 at the LBS. I've got relatively new ones on the bike now so these are backups to wait for service. Should be good for at least another year before I have to buy again.

Yup! I have a fairly new one on my bike now (maybe 200 miles). Around here, the shop price is $75 so when I see this kind of a sale, I go for it. I was happy ordering one but Gina said order 4. Who am I to argue?

Funny though, PBK, order one for $38 or two for $112 (twin pack)...no brainer

I wasn't do tire reviews. Since so many people use this tire, I've been asked many times by other riders to inform them when they go on sale. Thanks for the review though!

+1.
I use Vittoria Rubino III and they are great tyres at half the price of the Contis. They usually last me 4,000-5000 miles. The only "con" - the Vittorias are a bítch to put on the first time.

IMHO PBK has really gone downhill the last couple of years, everything is so much more expensive these days. $38 for contis is good but you can get a pair of veloflex masters at ribble for $40 anytime without a special sale. for my money, ill take the veloflex over contis any day of the week.

By request of a few others. As always, if you don't like the thread or not interested, don't open it.

Already got the notice that they shipped, less than 24 hours after placing the order. No complaints on this so far.

Me too. I've been riding on Michelin Pro3 tires and I really like them but they seem to give up the ghost pretty easily. I think I'm on my 4th or 5th tire this year due to various damage they've sustained over less than 3,000 miles. That seems excessive IMO.

I'll be trying them as soon as my current set of Pro3 tires dies.

I bought some with a similar deal earlier in the year. They are great tires.
