My younger son was hiking above Santa Barbara yesterday afternoon and his group had a few flakes falling on them.

I just saw a guy on a bike going down a long nearby hill. (The kind where you hit 40 mph without really trying.) It's pitch black outside and the temperature gauge in the car was showing 36 F. At least he was lit up like a christmas tree and in no apparent distress. Amazing.

By me the snow was down to about 1000 feet. My neighborhood above Trabuco Canyon was blanketed pretty well. There is a big hill at the top of the street, and there was one heck of a traffic jam because people were coming from everywhere to sled down the hill. Channel 2 news showed up to film it.
