So with the miraculous invention of Strava, noobs are cheating up Reseda...

My PR up Reseda from the 2nd stop sign is 14:44. I am looking at Strava and I see noob after noob recording times slightly within grasping range of my PR. I won't hold it against them for trying to take my hill but I find it disgusting that they're cheating.

If you have no HR reading, your time is trash and should not be posted. If you can't get a heart rate monitor in 2013, then you deserve to go for a run or something else equally boring.

You can be excused if you have a legit power meter reading but thats sort of questionable too.

Breaking souls and making noobs quit cycling since 2007.

Also, there needs to be a Strava setting for no large chainring only(men's category). I don't know why they haven't implemented this yet...

No large chainring only?

I'm not buying a chainring sensor, that's for sure. What's large? 50? 52? 53? 54?

min 50 bro. Strava should require a pic of the bike before every attempt

50.

Pfft.

Flag that segment as hazardous, that'll show 'em.

So let me get this straight. If I don't have a hr monitor and I beat your Strava record, I'm cheating ? How do you even know someone is a noob ?

Those Strava segments are some serious business!!!

OP, what is your name on Strava ?

so let me get this straight, you got a gps watch that you use to upload data to Strava yet you don't have a hr monitor...Not sure if drunk.

Strava segments are serious business...You dont see me riding a motorcycle up all the other climbs and recording my epic times do you?

My name on strava is sacred...only given out to elite level professionals.

Is this...is this a real post. Are you trolling? This feels like a troll. I use Strava and I don't have a HR monitor. If this is real, it sounds like you're jealous.

"Also, there needs to be a Strava setting for no large chainring only(men's category). I don't know why they haven't implemented this yet..." Really? Really? How would you even know. I would go and cheat on that just to make you mad.

I take my training and accomplishments very seriously. This is not a joking matter.

If you want to record rides without HR, thats fine, just make a new segment called "Spin class" and you can compete with my gf.

Reseda Blvd is not a handball.

I'm pretty sure a HR monitor doesn't make you any faster up a hill. If it did I'd wear two.

Go flag all the rides ahead of you on the leader board. Or if you pay for the premium membership you can filter it to just people over 60, maybe you can reign supreme in that group.

This thread reminds why I threw away my speedo. Numbers are very touching, if you're a pro or an accountant. Otherwise, it's like debating over who is the greatest living Parcheesi player. In the end, no one really cares.

Do I look like the FBI? No...

I'm just making a post to give a reminder to the cheaters that I do not accept their recorded time.

Man I guess noobs go to a giant ammount of trouble to get good times that only matter to a small group of people. Good thing that there are people discrediting their efforts and discouraging them so they keep their cheating selfs out of the sport/hobby.

I would have taken this dude seriously if he would have posted his Strava name so we could all see what he was talking about, but I don't really think he wants us to see his measly achievements. BTW, KOM's on your driveway don't count! I tried

I once got an angry e-mail from a guy after logging 30 mph up this beast. http://app.strava.com/segments/1813163 Left the Garmin running after loading the bike in the car. Learned to crop rides after that.

I once averaged 65mph from Idaho Springs to Denver.
I cropped that ride.
