Yah, there's a group of us from the C/A forum riding (see my thread Volosong posted above). We'll be the slow ones you'll pass before the first sag stop! Please make sure you say hi. And, if you're not in a hurry, feel free to ride with us. The more the merrier.

I'm doing it--for the 7th time in eight years! I'll be riding with a couple of friends, but expect to be outpaced by them. PhotoJoe, maybe I'll ride along with you.

Everyone is welcome to join us, as long as you know we're not fast. If you do decide to ride with us, please know that we encourage you to ride your own ride. If we're too slow, give us a wave and maybe we'll see you at a sag, but we don't want to hold anyone back. We're planning on rolling at 6:30.

I'll be riding the Double Metric again, not sure how many times this is . . . maybe 7 or 8? Anyway, should be fun, always a good ride!

Double-metric most likely.
Just got back from Colorado, and need to make sure I have a puppysitter that weekend.

Doing the metric century. That night I am going to attend my high school class reunion, I look forward to seeing friends I have not seen in a long time, so I will just do the metric century and save the rest of my energy for the party. This is a fun, scenic ride, I belong to the club that sponsors the ride and the ride is practically in my backyard!

Go ahead and do the double metric, it's not that difficult and it is a beautiful course.

I know Rick...have ridden up there many times....I am waiting to hear from Mark about the staff ride this weekend....if the Norhtbound 101 is REALLY bad , I might consider the hilly version....but the standard century would give me an idea on performance as compared to past years, that's another reason I would like to stick with that....

Puppysitter secured, (today's my dog's 15th Birthday ) so I'm registered for the Double-Metric, and staying at the Clocktower Inn again.
I'll be riding my Badgerbike and rocking the usual La Vie Claire colors, going a little faster this year.

What time are you embarking, Rick?

I'll be wearing my pink & black club bibs and my 50+ jersey. I'll most likely do the "long" century since I don't care to ride on the freeway, and I'll be going much slower than calamarichris. It would be nice to meet up with some SoCal people while I'm there.

I've always wanted to do that ride, especially after reading reviews from some of you posters.

Part of the group from the CA forum will ride at 6:30 doing the regular century. I drove up to SB the other day and I'm really not too worried about the highway. TO ME, it didn't seem to bad. YOMV.

I'll be wearing the C/A jersey. If you see us, please slow down and say hi!

I went up to Santa Barbara on Friday. Shot this coming home. UNLESS I MISSED SOMETHING, this is the worst of it.

I talked to my buddy who did the staff ride on Saturday.
He said it is doable... - 2 lanes for traffic - you feel a bit closer than you actually are.
Reports are access will controlled by staff to not overload, and single file riding only!

That video makes me feel a bit better about riding on the highway. I also plan on starting at 6:30 so I'll look for you.
