Where Are You Riding This Weekend? (10/12 & 13)

I miss Genaro. Anyone seen him out there at all?

Taking my kayak, dogbike and surfboard down to MissionBay & Harbor Island & spending Saturday with the family.
Might blitz Pendleton on Sunday to sweat out all of Saturday's beer & wine.

Going to be a beautiful weekend after this rain. Where are all you kids riding?

Lesper4 10-10-13 03:30 PM

I haven't ridden in a month so I haven't had the chance to see him. I think I heard his work schedule changed so he no longer rides on the weekend or week days? ............Speak of the devil he just uploaded something to Strava. This weekend is around the block for me, slowly making the transition of the trainer and on to surface streets. Trying to get my AC joint use to ore pressure.

Saturday with one of the local clubs: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/603056

Sunday, not sure yet.

When is the San Diego BF group ride? :bang:

Nachoman 10-10-13 04:51 PM

I'll probably do Mt. Soledad Friday morning. Then depending on what's going on with my regular crew, I'll either do SDBC Saturday morning or whatever ride they're cooking up.

cdp8 10-10-13 05:05 PM

CHSP. After yesterday's rain, I'm hoping to find some hero dirt out there. Probably be out there both Saturday and Sunday. I haven't been on the road bike in months, pretty much since the Alondra bridge was taken out. I think I've lost my stomach for riding in traffic. Can't say I miss it much since I'm having such fun in the dirt.

Lesper4 10-10-13 05:46 PM

From now till the end of the year is a great time to ride Palomar.

GP 10-10-13 06:55 PM

I was going to post a forum Palomar ride but I'm on IR waiting for a cortisone shot or hip surgery. Hopefully a shot will take care of it.

furiousferret 10-10-13 07:03 PM

Saturday is the Ironman World Championship so I have to get my ride done before 10:00. Probably going to ride out to SART and back for 20-30 miles.

Hi Vic, I also hope the SD Guys can get a ride going soon. Jim

tunavic 10-10-13 07:16 PM

I'm sure it will happen soon if we keep bugging them enough. :innocent:

indomikey 10-10-13 08:10 PM

Working Saturday, so probably exercise bike/trainer Sunday is it for me.

ooga-booga 10-10-13 09:12 PM

trying to finish up a strava challenge and need 73 miles so will likely hit the silver strand/coronado area and bonita/chula vista for those easyish miles.

:( $#it bro. Good luck. As a back surgery veteran, I almost hope the shot doesn't take care of it, so that the surgery can. Whatever happens, be an A+ therapy pupil, try yoga, and keep us abreast. (Of the yoga, I mean. It's always chock fulla sweaty, hot, young, scantily-clad chickie-babies.)
Seriously, though. Good luck. Living in pain ain't no kinda life.

I'm volunteering at Solvang Fall Double on Saturday. Need to do a long ride on Sunday, not decided on the route yet.

Rick@OCRR 10-11-13 09:12 AM

I'm riding the Bass Lake Double out of Clovis on Saturday, driving home Sunday morning and will probably do a fixed gear recovery ride when I get home.

What's stopping you from starting up that thread and getting the bandwagon rollin'? :thumb:

tunavic 10-11-13 09:34 AM

Not at all familiar with your area.

GP has already I started a thread about a Palomar ride

thanks Chris. I spoke to my doctor; he referred me to a specialist. The pain is from bone spurs and arthritis from an operation in 1987. I'm hoping a shot will take care of it. I had one in 2007 and was supposed to get periodic shots every 3 to 6 months. It worked so well that I never went back.

Come to Palomar with us next Sunday!

Nachoman 10-12-13 12:12 PM

Did a couple loops on Fiesta Island this morning. Nothing special.

Nice ride Elvo. I've still not been up Silverado.

I rode SART, like I always do....saw about 10 people in 30 miles....barren tarmac of training awesomeness.
