Fast Paced Night ride out of Euro Cafe in Claremont - Monday & Thursdays at 6:30pm
This is a fairly flat - spirited 25.5 mile bike ride. We start at Euro Cafe in Claremont and ride to Covina before we headback to Euro Cafe. The Total Average speed for this ride are between 15mph to 19mph. There are sections where speeds of 30+ mph are the norm, so you need a good headlight. We have 3 regroup spots along the route.
Route slips will be provided to all new riders. The ride is mostly flat with 1-2% incline/declines along the route. This ride has many long straight sections, so feel free to stretch those legs. The 4 major roads travelled are Baseline-Foothill / Badillo Ave / Cienaga Ave and Bonita Avenue. Most of the roads have very generous shoulders.
Since this is a night ride - HEADLIGHTS and TAILLIGHTS are Mandatory. We will have links below for inexpensive high output headlights and taillights, that many of us have tested and used. High visibility clothing is recommended and Helmets are mandatory.
This ride is also posted via Meetup on the Cycling Connection and Psycho-Lists page. - Both Inland Empire Cycling Clubs

Good to see you're still doing this ride. Regrettably I never did make it out when I lived in the area.

That was a fun ride, thanks for posting it. Not a fan of all the regroups, but I understand given the varying levels of riders who show up. Pretty sure I managed to catch a cold in the night air, guess I'll wear a base layer next time out.

The regroups are part of the rides. We have 3 cycling groups promoting it. I will never hold anyone back from riding fast but the regroups are going to stay.. Tonight we had some rock sport riders and they were impressed with the pace of the ride. Once we get back into spring - we may have an A and B ride and have only 2 regroups for the A ride.

That's cool, I've never seen footage of myself riding before. I was in the D-Focus kit, pretty sure we met at a rest stop. Thanks for pushing me to sprint a little that night!

I Love the Planet Bike LED tail lights, I rode behind a few last year and they are bright. When comparing the 4 models on REI I cant really see what the difference is? I see you recommend them on your rides? I prefer the best, which is if I may ask?
Thanks,
Thanks,

For any local riders or teams - this is nice flat fast training ride. Most can attest that it is much faster than they thought it would be. We have gotten enough buzz over the last few months that some top local riders are coming out to the ride. Here is all the info on the ride..
