Hey Beachgrad!

I think I passed by you today - twice! Saw the Unlikely Cyclist crew ride by on Shady Canyon and then later on the San Diego Creek trail - looked like good crew!

@Beachgrad05 should be along anytime to respond. They're probably still out riding!

I recall seeing two ladies riding together in both locations...second time was as we entered San Diego trail off University...we stopped at the yield sign as they passed. Think I waved hello the second time as we stopped. I was in front of our group. Which one of the ladies was you? Figuring this is when we saw you...

We had a decent turnout considering holiday weekend (14 riders). We have some rides with about 25. I was on my steel Bianchi yesterday as the Trek Madone was in shop getting new bottom bracket and crank. Thanks to Red Shield both were free. Got upgrade to Ultegra crank as well as the 105 crank is out of stock.

I was always last trying to stay close to my friend who is training for the Big Ring Century - I was the ole fat lady on a turquoise bike...(my friend is tall and skinny - hate her!) andyes you were nice to wave hello as I was huffing by!

Yep! They treat me great. My Madone is my 4th bike purchased there tho it should count as 3rd...it was a crash replacement for the first Madone I purchased. I got my Schwinn Mtn bike there back in late 90's. The in 2011 got the FX. Eventually realized I needed a road bike so I got a 3.1 Madone...which I crashed...so upgraded to 4.5. I'm hoping to add a Domane 5 or 6 series in future.

You didn't look like you were huffing! I recalled seeing the two of you earlier and I could see you did too as you smiled toward us...so I waved not knowing who I was waving at ... I tend to pay more attention to women riders when I ride and I am friendly in general so I try to smile and give a wave in greeting.

At some point would be fun to ride together.

I've bought three bikes from Anders. My first road bike was a 1.5, followed by a Madone 5.2, and early this year a Domane 6.2 Project One, which I absolutely love!

Anders is a great guy. Haven't had the pleasure if buying a bike from him. I got my 3.1 at HB Jax and Robert and Matt at LB helped me with crash replacement. Been chatting with David about the Domane and me being ready for a bike with seat mast

I don't think we had anyone wearing a Ultimate Cycling kit. We did ride by UCI tho. I was wearing my black/grey argyle team unlikely cyclist kit...some were in the blue kit and rest were in whatever they have on hand as not everyone has a shop / team kit yet.

It seemed to me that almost everyone was in an Unlikely Cyclist jersey... funny - I have one and almost wore it that day but opted for something alittle lighter (a Shebeest I brought at the UC shop). Turns out it was a cool day so I wish I had the UC jersey on!

What route did you take? We actually started up at Portola and went up Jamboree, rode thru the Canyon, out to El Toro, to Jeronimo, Bake, Moulton to Ridge Route to something, to Lake Forest - love the new through to Laguna Canyon and then over to Shady Ridge where I first saw you. We finished Culver to Bonita to Ford to Eastbluff and back on the trail to ride back to Portola where I saw you again.

I was tired - not use to long rides anymore! My friend was on a cruise - to me it was an "epic"...

i was not clear...a good portion of the ladies in my group were in UC kits...some black and some blue.

Our route was not epic. We went out to Ridgeline via University...then did repeats of a Turtle Rock before heading over to Shady Cyn to Quail Hill side and restroom...then back by Strawberry farm and University to SD trail where we saw you 2nd time. Your route sounds awesomely challenging
