We are having a busy month or two in Las Vegas now the summer heat is near its end. Five rides, two of them memorial, three benefit, Interbike and it's associated events, and the CrossVegas race.

Sept 5- Matthew Hunt Honor Ride/Rally. A ride to remember Matthew Hunt who was the one of the valley's most recent cyclists to lose his life in traffic. 7 am unsupported ride, 9 am rally to again emphasize driver/rider safety issues. Media presence, large turnout hoped for to remember those who have gone, and to show the size and solidarity of the cycling community. https://www.facebook.com/events/432149496968468/

Sept 12- Three Feet for Pete. Third annual Safety & Awareness Ride in memory of Pete Makowski who also lost his life riding. Proceeds will go to raising awareness for Nevada's 3ft. law and educating riders and drivers about cycling safety 3 Feet for Pete - Safety Ride

Sept 14-18- Interbike and events. Customer appreciation day on the 18th. I will be attending again and drooling .Interbike - Customer Appreciation Day

Sept 16 - CrossVegas Cyclocross Race Cross Vegas | Biggest Cyclocross Race in America

Sept 19- Bike MS benefit ride Bike MS: Las Vegas, presented by Interbike - National MS Society

Oct 3- North Las Vegas Century benefitting Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and Special Olympic NV. Second annual locally organized. Fun! Las Vegas Valley Bicycle Club - Home

I'm not an affiliate of any of these events, just a participant in about half of them. If there are any errors, my apologies. All information is from event websites. The fall weather here is perfect for riding, and I thought it would be nice to share in case any of you are visiting. Bring your own bike or rent one, plenty available!
