Route from Surprise to Buckeye, Arizona?
Anyone have a good route from west Phoenix (Surprise, Sun City) south toward Buckeye to eventually catch old US 80 near Gila Bend?
Thanks!,

Firstly I have no idea as I've never cycled in this area:
https://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...9,0.63858&om=1
Shows the area - with the motor vehicle route shown.
I wonder what Sun Valley Parkway is like? Looks like its divided, with wide shoulders. A bit more out of the way, but few intersections.
Otherwise perhaps some of those 'undeveloped arterials' - farm roads 178th ave - west of 303?
What are you considering?

I definitely, positively recommend Sun Valley Parkway! I won't ride those farm-road-highways except for weekend mornings - it's a zoo out there

Thanks for the reply. We are headed toward Buckeye, then old US 80. Here's a map of our route once we reach old 80 then south toward Ajo and Tucson. Green Line is Our Route

We cycle Olive out to White Tank all the time, but I've never been on this road on the west side of the mountains. You recommend it?
Thank you,
Airwick
