Those who now Tulsa...
...a little help?
I live in Sapulpa and am wanting to start commuting by bike and bus. I've done the distance calculation on-line, and all of the nearest bus stops (4 of them) are within a mile of total distance. They are:
1. To the Sand Springs Wal-Mart. Straight on hwy 97, but the hills...
2. To Town West via SW Blvd. Terrain's is more favorable (hills wise), but no shoulders.
3. To the new Tulsa Hills. Probably SW Blvd to 96th/Hilton Rd., to Freedom Rd, to Canyon Rd., to 81st, then East 'til I get there.
4. To the Kum & Go at 101st and Elm in Jenks. Hwy 117 to Elm, then N on Elm.
I'm leaning towards the hwy 97 route (even w/the hills) because it's divided with nice wide shoulders and that side road that runs parallel for most of it. Ideally, I would rather get dropped off at the trailheads (Katy in Sand Springs or Aquarium in Jenks) and ride those into town. But we have one car, and the wife won't let me put a trunk rack on.
Any one got any other ideas for routes?

Oops! The title should have been 'To those who know Tulsa...', and I can't figure out how to edit the title. Any mods out there please make the correction for me, thanks.
