Place to rent a road bike in Phoenix
I will be in the Phoenix area and am hoping to rent a decent road bike while there. Any suggestions regarding a bike shop that rents decent road bikes?

Landis Cycles https://landiscyclery.com/ has been in Phoenix since the 60s. Great bunch, they will also help with routes and club rides. My favorite ride is up through South MT Park, very south end of Central Avenue. Great time to be there.

This might be a little late, but I'd go to the Slippery Pig on Central at Camelback Rd. Ask for Eric...he's the "professor" and has the say so, not the crank-turners, or Maggie the shop dog (although she's very sweet). Eric rented a bike to an Aussie friend of mine a couple years ago that was awesome.
