Sonoran Loop in the Sonoran Preserve in N. Phoenix.

It is just off the I-17 at Dixileti exit, east to the N. North Valley Drive, just look for the Park entrance. It has some nice aggressive climbs fun downhills and great desert scenery. Be sure to pay attention when riding though that Cholla field. You don't want to get off the trail.

Hope you had a fun ride.

I live less than 5 miles from there. I ride my road bike on North Valley Dr 5-6 days a week

I really need to dust my mountain bike off and take it out on that trail.

We rented a house at the Fireside development at the south end of N. North Valley for Thanksgiving. There is an entrance to the preserve off Desert Vista Trail in the development. There were MTBers on the trail every time I rode it. It was a good time.

Glad to hear you had a good time.

Fireside seems like a nice development. I have a business on Deer Valley Rd so I drive past every day...

You could do the loop for a lunch ride. That development has a great clubhouse. Having grown up in Phoenix, I continually kick myself for not buying everything north of Bell RD in the 70s.
