Where in Arizona?

Hey guys noticed this part of the forum is kind of slow. I see a lot of riders from AZ in these forums but wanted to know what part of AZ and does anyone go on any group rides?

I live in Chandler, AZ my name is Kevin and I'm 23 years old. Im still new to road cycling but really enjoy it. Anyone around the chandler area?

I live in Chandler, AZ. My name is also Kevin, but I'm 56 years old. When I'm not busy on Saturday mornings, I like to ride with the Two Wheel Jones group in Mesa. They meet at Two Wheel Jones Bicycles at Signal Butte and Baseline at 6 a.m. I believe Global Bikes in Chandler also has a ride on Saturday mornings.

I sometimes ride with the Red Mountain Brumby's on Thursday mornings. They have rides Monday - Saturday mornings. Check them out at www.azbrumbys.com.

Most Monday mornings i can be found riding solo east along Elliot to Greenfield, south to Pecos, West to Dobson or Price, north to Elliot (or Guadalupe or Base line depending on how far I want to ride) then east back home to Elliot and Arizona.

Welcome to road cycling. There are a lot of opportunities to ride in the east valley. Check with your local bike shop and see what they have.

Wow, good to see so many other riders in the chandler area. We should have a bike forums chandler ride ha. Kabersch, thanks for the info on the group rides, I haven't done a group ride before and am a little hesitant to just because Im not sure how I will compare to the other riders. I know I need to just go for it and give it a go.

I'm in Chandler too, and always looking for someone to ride with. I live very close to the Chandler airport.

I did a rather crazy ride on Sunday:
https://app.strava.com/activities/7573374

Usually just try to get in 100-120 miles/week, divided over 3 rides.

Central Phoenix. I commute downtown via 15th Ave. Every once in a while you'll see me on the Arizona Canal 'tween 20th St and 75th Ave.

I am moving to the Scottsdale/NE Phoenix area later this year. Anyone suggestions for rides in that area (something that fits a rider of modest abilities, i.e. 16 - 20 mph...)?

Hey everyone-- about once a month I do a swim-bike-swim, with the swims in Saguaro Lake, the bike down Bush Hwy, over Usery Pass to McKellips, then back on Bush Hwy. let me know if anyone is ever interested.

Tucson here. I often wonder when I'm on one of our many fine MUPs if I'm meeting (or getting passed by *chuckle* ) another BF member, expecially a Clyde or a 50+.

Oro Valley, just north of Tucson.
Been there since 1978 and been riding since the early 70s.
Sort of hard to miss as we ride a tandem.
We are ages 80/77 and still manage to get in 100 +/- miles a week.
Pedal on!

I also live in Oro Valley/NW Tucson. I ride a bright orange Peugeot! I usually ride Rancho Vistoso, or Rillito/Lambert path for leisure rides.

I live in CA, but we visit friends in Prescott about once a year and I always take my road bike. There is a big road riding community up there, but is is MTB heaven too.

Kevin - try the Phoenix Metro Bicycle Club - they run early Saturday rides starting at 0630. It's a very good group of people.

I'm in North Phoenix right on North Mountain. Just getting into this whole thing, I'm currently riding an old Bianchi road bike or my Trek MTB.

I'm at Tempe/S. Phoenix border area...50+ Clyde. Pretty good area, Tempe seems pretty bike friendly.
