    Whats up Arizonians!

Sorry, seems like there are a ton of us on here, just thought I'd say hey!

I'm up in the Lake Pleasant area, seems like there's a plethora of roadies up this way, especially out towards Vistancia.
Hey guys, lets go play bikes!

I grew up in South Phoenix riding South Mountain Park in the 70s. I live the Las Vegas area now. But I enjoy getting down to Phoenix and riding. The city has created some really nice bike lanes.

Some of us Vegas riders are going to ride from Vegas to Kingman if any Kingman riders are looking here.
I think its disgusting and terrible how people treat Lance Armstrong, especially after winning 7 Tour de France Titles while on drugs!

I have to say the bike lanes out in my area are quite nice. It seems any road work done in the city now leads to the additions of bike lanes - can't complain with that.

Riding from Phoenix to Vegas would be a haul but I bet a heck of a lot of fun.

Nice! I've only been riding since March, so this will be my first summer. So far, the heat hasn't bothered me...the wind on the other hand, pisses me off royally. Every morning there seems to be a headwind coming from the SE and every night one from the NW. Makes the commute that much harder, but I guess it's building the legs so I shouldn't complain.

Never let anything get in the way of a good whine!

My hat is off to all you Phoenix and Vegas riders. I just read a dredged up thread about riding in Phoenix, mostly about the summer weather- can`t believe how many blow it off and just deal with pedalling in a pizza oven. Hell, I don`t even like riding during the daylight in Reno summers!

So far the heat hasn't bothered me but will see what happens this week when highs will be close to 110.

On the upside, trips to Sedona and Flagstaff might be in the cards to get out of the heat a bit.

Sheesh, Rodar, I've been thinking about packing bikes up to your area to beat the heat. Sedona, Flagstaff or the Showlow area are other nice options.

Well, I guess nobody will have any trouble finding Tahoe. In case one of you heads up here on a Monday (my usual play day) and wants a guided tour of some of the less trafficked northern Sierra roads, give a shout. Paved or unpaved roads in Plumas, Lassen, and Sierra counties are my usual stompin grounds after the snow melts.

You can get away from the heat on the weekend of July 13 & 14.

PMBC will be putting on their annual White Mountain Tour.
