Well said DubT. Our Tacx Vortex Smart trainer arrived yesterday and the Burley fits no problem. After a quick calibration we were testing the video rides and I was very impressed. I was never able to ride a trainer in the gym for more than 20 minutes. This is nothing like that! My wife enjoyed it and is looking forward to riding Paris, New Zealand among others. I really like that we can continue to track our rides on Strava and continue to improve as a team. Also we have a few friends locked down for the winter that just started using Zwift so we will be riding WITH them.

Our goals for “tandeming” is to first enjoy and have fun. We have been away from riding for a few years due to business and location. Now we are back home and have the time so we ride most every day. Discovered Strava around June and that has changed our perspective both from a performance tracking as well as social. You won’t believe how many friends we have made in a short time just by riding the same segments! Taking a KOM also gets their attention.
We do at least 2 interval or TABATA type training rides a week for an hour, then at least 2 touring rides for 4+ hours weather permitting we will ride 6 days a week. We went from a 12mph avg to 15mph since getting back in the saddle this year. My goal is to be at 16+ by spring.
My knowledge of training in general is fairly decent. I used to work out every day with a friend who was a personal trainer back in the 80’s(so it might be a bit dated) but I try to stay up to date with the latest trends. I also do weight training during the winter months using my Powertec universal machine.

Regards
