Cable housing question

This winter I'm changing out the cables on our 04 C-dale RT1000. I've decided to try the Yokozuna housing and was wondering if I should run complete housing to our Hy/Rd rear brake or if I should segment the housing like it traditionally has been? Which is one segment from brifter to head tube, one housing segment past the captain's seat tube, and one housing segment from the stoker seat tube to the brake. The latter option leaves the cable exposed twice along the top tube. Any suggestions?

For shifting I often use partial housings for less drag and ease of keeping the cables clean and free.

The rear brake is less of a concern and works well either way when quality housing and cable is used. Our Ventana off-road tandem uses a full length housing for both brakes while the Co-Motion uses partial housing for brakes.

We put them on our co mo. They are very very stiff. We used the segment approach as it is a travel tandem.

So far so good but less than 1000 km on them due to injury.

Note they are so stiff you really have to get the cable lengths and routings correct.
