Tandemists can help BORP!
Hello everyone!
I've been away for a while now but want to put an idea out to Bay Area tandemists. Many of you by now have heard about the theft of the cycles from the Berkeley organization BORP. They do some great things for the disabled community. (www.borp.org/)
Where you can help is if you would like to offer to donate some time and experience by allowing those with seeing disabilities to enjoy cycling.
BORP encourages experienced tandemists to join them. If you would like to help out and can't quite afford monetary support, you should give them a call.
I haven't participated with them in a few years, so if they've changed their approach, I apologize. But last time I was involved, they were encouraging all experienced tandem pilots to volunteer.
Happy Trails!
