New subscriber to BikeForums...and a tandem rider

Hi, I am new to this forum and wish to introduce myself and my stoker. My wife and myself have been riding and racing our tandem now for the past one and a half years. Mainly in and around Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. We have also done various other races further away from home inlcuding the ARGUS Cycle Tour in Cape Town in 2002 and 2003. We have done approximately 5500km on our tandem since we started and also do spinning and gym work to supplement our training.

Our tandem is Kinesis framed (with Peugeout Decals),7005 aluminium with a Shimano Tiagra groupset. We have Mount sealed hubs with 40 spoke DRC rims. We use Continental Sport 2000 700x28C tyres on the tandem.

We are passionate tandem riders and it is a strange sensation to ride a "half" bike nowadays.

You are welcome to visit our website at http://mysite.mweb.co.za/residents/hmtorius/index.html It has not been updated in a while but most of the info is still the same.

Keep those wheels spinning!!!!
