tyres/tires for 26" tandem??

Hi,

Just purchased our 1st tandem after a few tries on a friend's lender.
It has 26" wheels and I was wondering what is the ideal narrow slick I can use, bearing in mind that I come from a road racing background so I like a bit of speed. It will be used for some touring and local rides, currently I have 25mm slicks on it, is that too narrow?
