Tucson SWAP Meet . . . tandems

Attended Saturday's GABA Tucson Swap meet. 4,000 to 5,000 attendees. We set up at 5:45 (A.M.) and already had to do it on a side street. Some vendors had set up at 3 A.M.
We were unloading our car and trying to set up and buyers came by with flashlights (!) to see what we had.
Among the huge mass of bikes/parts/clothing for sale spotted 4 tandems:
An early Fuji tandem (late 70s?); bit of a wreck with rusted frame and cobbled together with single bike cranks and double cross over chainrings (!) for pilot/stoker.
A 1950s old Schwinn single speed that needed work, $250.
A nice looking 1960s LeJeune (French) tandem without a lateral, 650B tires, fenders, Pivo stoker stem, Normandy hubs, Mafac cantis, TA triple crankset, Loytard pedals, nice old rear rack, and unique pilot seatpost. Had been donated to a local charity and they were selling it. Yup it sold!
And a 2006 Burley Rumba (new) that sold for $1,600.
This huge SWAP meet is as much a placeto buy and sell, as it is a social event.
Pedal on TWOgether!

Got to show up 'fashionably early' (with your own flashlight)!
By 2:30 we were long gone and having lunch!
