    How Ricky Transport his tandem

I'm pretty sure you gals and guys have seeing a few pictures of my Motorcycle carring bicycles over the years..

Well now I have a girlfriend that lives far away enough that I can not pedal to her house plus she loves to go exploring far away places.

As a result I'm beiong transporting my Tandem (and single bikes) a lot this days..

here are some pictures just for fun.

I just take the "Timing chain", take the rear wheel off (to diminish the cantilever mass) twist the forks 180deggres and kind of hope for the best

The frame stays, remarkably stable, even if is only attach by two mounts (usually three) well and then some straps.

The other day I carry two of my Ibis's the tandem and my SS but sadlly I have no pictures of it.

My Girlfriend shoulders (even if really wide) fit on the motorbike with some degree of comfort (so far the longest trip is about 140miles)

Loaded for a weekend of fun, Notice the "Red Flag" made out of a Profile bottle cage.

Visiting old friends at American cyclery in San francisco

Having fun in the Marin headlands

    She is a great captain.

Coming back home to the city after a long ride.

If anything riding a tandem is one of the nicest things you can do with somebody you love.

    Hola Ricky,

Yes, I am "that" Kevbo. The pro-taper bars are doing great on the GS. Susan and I are spending more hours on our Bilenky tandem than the GS these days. I have to show her your pictures, maybe she will want me to emulate your design. Of course we also need to carry two dogs and camping gear. Glad to see you are still doing well.

Hi Senor I feel your pain..

I think I'm finally going to need to learn how to drive a car thanks to this two little things.

Hell maybe I end up driving a Beige MamiVan like the rest .

My self I'm going the same way, much less motorcycles, much more bicycle riding, skating, running, walking the doggies, hiking, I don't really know why but I kind of like it that way.

Time (the Dude) the black dog is 7year old and Faith the beige color one (a lady) is six years old..

They are My Girlfriends dogs but I love them like if I know them since forever, they are super gentle and nice even if from time to time the Chinese people around her house (sunset district in San Francisco) run away like crazy because their fame as "Guard dogs" (this ones can not even guard their own food)

Actually that is kind of the point of this whole posting..

If people think they have a difficult time carrying a tandem (or anything) on a car and sometimes they even give up, they have no idea how much more complicated, difficult and compromising it can get if you have one less pair of wheels on the ground..

    Some derivation of ..

"I used to complain about My shoes, Until I meet a Fellow with out His Feet"

    mix with the very Famous

    "Just do IT"

Attributed to Nikeus maximus a great philosopher of every day Life.
