Here's a link to a video shot from the back of a tandem on a recent Davis Bike Club ride during a short break in the weather:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u-s_9ZtcKY

If the music sounds familiar, it was used in the BikeTalk podcast that was popular a couple of years ago. The rider/photographer is Scott Alumbaugh, the former host of BikeTalk.

Most of the riders in this fast group are retired and ride every morning. They are fast. The group refers to themselves as "raisins" -- former grapes.

While you can't see the bike, it is a Ferrari Red Co-Mo Speedster. In case you wanted to know!

Oh, yeah, rolling the Yolo county roads..Stevenson Bridge, Pedrick..nice. Thanks for sharing, Steve. You should go by Finley's old place and see if the double decker's still there.

Fun stuff. Two thoughts though....

1. I'm glad we have hilly terrain and lots of trees here were I live in Georgia.
2. Scott must be a very strong and skilled captain, assuming that was shot using a handheld by his stoker.

Can't go wrong with the DGQ! That album (LONG time ago) opened an entire world of music to me.

That looks like fun -- wish we could've seen the bike, too.

We haven't been out on the tandem in weeks, and this reminds me how much I miss it. Was hoping for a ride tomorrow but my captain has to work dagnabbit.

I heard a rumor that the sun is due to be back around Tuesday; maybe there's hope for next weekend.

Thanks for sharing, Steve!
