My wife and I are fairly new to tandem riding (just started last fall) but have really loved it better than riding singles so we got us a new custom made Davinci Joint Venture. Here we are at the start of our first 100 mile try at the Cycling for Sight Century event in Alabama.

Farm to Fork Fondo - Vermont. This was around mile 85 of 93, but we're still smiling.

Looks like a great road for cycling! I don't think we look nearly as happy as you all do after 85miles lol.

This spring we found a very nice Cannondale MT-800 mountain tandem. It is an older 2001 that is still in very good condition. Bought it as a second tandem for our daughters and grandchildren. Our 8 year old granddaughter likes it the best of all of them and will ride 30 to 40 miles with me any time she gets a chance. With the second tandem we can take friends along and still not change the adjustments on the Co-motion that my wife and I use. (pictured several years ago in this thread)

A picture from Cycle NC of my wife and me in the first week of October. We just bought the older, used Cannondale a few weeks before the tour. We only did two 20 miles training rides on flat roads to get a feel for riding a tandem. That is ALL the training she did before the 453 mile 7 day ride! In fact, the first day she wore cycling shoes was the first day of the tour.

Seven days was probably way too much but she did incredible, as did the bike.

Fantastic job! My wife and I always feel closer after even the briefest of tandem rides - which counts for something in this busy world of work, bringing up kids, study, paying the mortgage etc. I hope it all continues to prosper for you both.
