abracadabra _it's a triplet!

Took your advice and got a Piccolo on eBay. Even came in blue to match the bike. Took it out today (even though it was only 40) and all went well, although it does take a little getting used to balance wise, especially starting. I spent a lot of time yelling at my second stoker to "quit squirming and pedal" (she likes to fool around by taking her feet of the pedals and sticking them out). All in all, though I think this will get us through the summer for some 10 mile bike-trail rides to the lake. It was quite a bit of work to turn the pedals over, especially going uphill, as the twin behind me is the lazier stoker. But what I wanted was a good workout while bringing my kids along right? Right! :-)

Congrats! If you all start riding more and more and decide you want a dedicated triplet you can always recoup most of what you spent on the Piccolo. Do the twins argue over who gets which position?

I used our Piccolo for 3 seasons. We had a great time on it. I'm sure you will too.

I bought mine new in 2004 for $275. Some go for more than that on Ebay used. That might change once Burley starts to produce the Piccolo again.

You can see where I mounted a water bottle for her, and a squeaky toy on the handle bars is a must have.

Nice looking blue choo-choo train! Now you need a doggie trailer behind the Piccolo!
