Event Notice: Tandems East Expo, 29 & 30 March @ Pittsgrove, NJ

Just passing along on behalf of a good friend to the tandem community. Great opportunity for those of you who live in the region and your non-tandem riding friends who may have an interest in tandems to get your '08 riding season off on the right foot.

--------------------------

TandemsEast's annual spring Tandem Expo will be held on Saturday & Sunday, March 29 & 30. The party begins at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 29 and will feature five hours of seminars with special guest speakers you won't want to miss...

Gary Foreman of Co-Motion Cycles: This energetic expert gained years of experience in the bicycle industry. Gary brings a wealth of knowledge to Co-Motion Cycles, manufacturers of twenty-nine models of various tandems and is certain to "wow" you.

Craig Calfee of Calfee Design: Manufacturer and inventor of carbon tandems and single bikes. Craig is the leading expert on bamboo bicycles.

Brian Davis of daVinci Design: Brian traveled the world as a Class One Status skilled mechanic for the USCF (United States Cycling Federation) before his partnership as an independent pedaling tandem expert and manufacturer.

Mel Kornbluh ofTandems East: Mel will stir your interest in tandems with his talk entitled "Tandeming 101", a primer in starting out with fit and riding techniques.

Rafe Schlanger of Topolino Technology: Rafe has worked for several bicycle companies as a mechanical engineer and inventor before creating his well known Topolino wheels. Attend this seminar to learn about this leading new technology

If I knew of any I'd share that information too... I can't pass along information that I don't have.

That makes two of us dvs....hard for me to understand why we don't see some events like this particularly along the central/southern portion of the left coast..

TG: Thanks for the report. A small nit: In the Da Vinci section, it says this: "
It was clear that Brian and Co-Motion's other Co-Owner, Todd Shusterman, have established.."

Shouldn't this read "Da Vinci" instead of Co-Motion?

Anyway, I still don't feel like we have heard your opinion on the Topolino wheels yet.

I wonder if I can get Mel to let me test some at ETR 2008. The stoker would choke if she knew the price, but a ride might convince her. Thanks for the links; I hadn't read the R&T article.
