New frame has finally arrived!!!!!!!

Our new custom Taylor frame finally arrived this afternoon after being lost in transit for the last 3 days. What a headache and the second time in the past 2 yrs DHL has been worthless delivering custom frames to our house. Oh well, at least it arrived unscathed.
The frame is a multi-tubing build using Columbus Spirit, Foco and oh my gawd I forgot what the 3rd tubing is, guess I'm to excited to finally have the frame to get caught up in details.
Custom head badge by Jen Green and carbon seat stays. The bike will be built with Campy Record Ergos, frt/rear derails and brakes, AlphaQ full carbon fork, DT Swiss rims on White Industry hubs with ti carrier, captain will have carbon bar/stem, stoker will use WCS Ritchey bar/Control Tech stem, Thompson Masterpiece captain post, Campy carbon stoker post, Jaguar cables, King HS, Wheels Manufacturing conversion cassette 12-29, WTB Deva/Devo saddles, Bike Ribbon bar wrap and Crank Bro pedals. I haven't decided on crankset yet, we currently have a combo FSA Carbon front and Truvativ Elita rear on our bike. I may purchase a complete Truvativ Elita set for the new ride or perhaps a Gossamer.
Haven't weighed the frame yet so that info is unavailable.

Can't tell ya how excited we are. Build pics to follow over the next few days. The maiden voyage, after a couple shake down rides, will be the "Reach The Beach" century next weekend. 105 miles from Portland OR to Cape Kawanda on the Oregon coast. We'll "christen" the bike by dipping the wheels in the Pacific upon our arrival.

The unveiling...

Now thats a nice packing job! With all that foam padding it looks like a jungle gym at a fast food place. I look forward to a built up picture. I particularly like the paint job that it has, very sporty.

Congrats.

Interesting design and use of the rear carbon stays. What's the rear drop-out spacing and have you now weighed it with or without the 5oz Bushnell eccentric?

Rear carbon stays are a natural for a metal tandem; likely not need a suspension seatpost for stoker.
Before we ordered our full c/f Zona tandem a few years ago, we had drawn up a short list on who/what for our next tandem. Had considered getting another custom Co-Mo built with full c/f rear triangle and had even broached the idea with Dwan who said 'sure.'
However friend/framebuilder Bob Davis won out.
Currently have 18,000+ miles on our Zona. Great choice, great bike.
Amazing that many Aussies seem to be lusting after American tandems and they've got a guy like Taylor doing some excellent custom work. Go figure . . .
Pedal on TWOgether!
